We are still in local tourism mode for the summer of 2021! The industry has a distinct advantage in that Quebec happens to be a beautiful, diverse province, offering all kinds of getaways and adventures. Here are some suggestions from members of our team, for things to see and do in the Eastern Townships!

Manon’s Favourites

Sales Representative, PAL+

Manon is our bicycle ‘specialist in chief’!

Her favourite activity is to cycle along the circuit from Saint-Benoît-du-Lac abbey. She explains why: “The spectacular views of Lake Memphremagog, the best doughnuts in the region, and the possibility of taking a refreshing dip in Orford Lake.”

And don’t miss a pit stop at Vélo Café Endurance Aventure. One of its specialties is affogato. After all, isn’t it a truism that cyclists love a great cup of coffee?

Michael’s Favourites

Director of Lodging, Espace 4 Saisons

A keen athlete, Michael has been playing golf since he was 12 years old. He also loves to hike.

The summer months find him at Golf Owl’s Head, his all-time favourite venue. If this is your first visit, Michael offers the following advice: “Don’t fret over your golf handicap. Instead, just enjoy the breathtaking view!”

After completing the 9th hole, regain your energy at the Club House. They serve arguably the tastiest hot dogs in the region!

Corinne’s Favourites

Marketing Consultant, PAL+

After a short-day hike (typically around Île-du-Marais or tried-and-tested Mount Orford) Corinne loves to relax at the Ciné-Parc Orford (the local drive-in theatre) along with her partner or a group of pals.

Her idea for a perfect evening? “I stock up on popcorn and other goodies, make myself comfy and just enjoy the action on the screen….” The simple pleasures of life!

Nathalie’s Favourites

Financial Controller, PAL+

A fan of al fresco dining, Nathalie can tell you where to find the best patio restaurants in the region! Her all-time favourite though is the one-of-a-kind gourmet cruise experiences offered by Escapades Memphrémagog.

Nathalie has sampled all the company’s different sailing options and tasted the variety of delicious dishes served on board, but her favourite remains the Bubbly Hour―a late afternoon, mini-getaway, ideally shared with friends. “I always feel as if I’m on vacation, even if it’s just for a short while. Sipping a glass of something interesting, as the boat floats serenely across the lake, is pure bliss!”

And Nathalie’s favourite cocktail? No contest: a white sangria. Cheers!

David’s Favourites

David has only recently started to work in Magog, so when he is out running, he has discovered several new trails. His favourite? The popular Merry Point trail that feeds into the scenic Rivière-aux-Cerises wetlands.

After a good run, David loves to cool down on a terrace, and he is eager to do so on Kóz bistro’s 2-level terrace. This recently opened Mediterranean-style restaurant, part of the brand new Versō hotel, is located on the shores of Lake Memphremagog. It offers one of the best views in town!
