Five Great Reasons to Discover Le Grand Cru, Magog’s Most Unique Restaurant!
If you haven’t yet enjoyed a dining experience on the water with Escapades Memphrémagog‘s Le Grand Cru, maybe it’s time to change that! Our luxurious catamaran—a floating restaurant gliding across the gentle waves of the legendary Lake Memphremagog—offers a wide selection of gourmet cruises that will delight everyone.
Here are a few great reasons that are sure to convince you to book your maritime adventure this fall (or next year!)
1. Water Views at All Times

No matter where you’re seated in the dining room, you’ll have a view of stunning Lake Memphremagog. You can also step out onto the deck between courses to admire the scenery from a new perspective.
Keep your eyes peeled! During the cruise, you’ll be able to spot numerous small villages with their charming houses, the impressive Saint-Benoît-du-Lac Abbey, and some of the mountains that make the region famous, including Orford and Owl’s Head.
2. Menu Featuring Local Ingredients
Our chef, Alexandre Poulin, takes great pleasure in showcasing local and seasonal ingredients on his menu, which highlights the flavours of the Eastern Townships. Among his favorite ingredients, he’ll surely mention trout from Les Bobines, local cheeses (La Station, Fritz Kaiser, Saint-Benoît-du-Lac…), Lac-Brome’s duck, as well as a variety of vegetables and mushrooms from the surrounding area.
Did you know? There are about 30 employees working in Le Grand Cru’s kitchen, and more than 40,000 plates are served each season. That makes our catamaran a very busy restaurant!
3. Lunch, Dinner and Supper

We have a cruise for every time of day! Whether you’re in the mood for brunch (breakfast or lunch with the Anchors Aweigh cruise), an aperitif (the Bubblu Hour outing, without a meal), or a gourmet dinner (the 3.5-hour Offshore cruise), our calendar lets you book a variety of experiences. Better yet: you can do them all and taste a wide variety of dishes! In fact, our menu is different for each type of cruise.
4. Musical Performances
Music is just as important to us as the culinary aspect of our cruises. We feature live music on every one of our cruises. Talented local artists take the stage to deliver performances that are sometimes festive and energetic, and sometimes softer and more romantic, all to create a magical experience for you.
In 2026, you’ll be able to enjoy performances by Mélane & Michel Desjardins (a duo you love year after year!), Édouard Lagacé (a longtime favourite who appeared on Star Académie and La Voix), Mel & Marie (two authentic local artists), Marily Dorion (also a singer-songwriter who appeared on Star Académie), Jean-Philippe Grenier (whose rhythm, energy, and good humour are contagious!), the sweet Véro Pelletier as well as the excellent Carter & The Boomers.
5. The immersive Experience

This is our big new feature this year: the multisensory experience Murmures – Hidden Tales of Le Grand Cru, created in collaboration with the Quebec-based design studio Float4. Available on cruises with meals (Anchors Aweigh and Offshore), this captivating new adventure will let you learn more about the lake and the Eastern Townships region, while adding a sophisticated touch to your experience aboard the boat. A must-try at least once this summer!
