OUR COMMITMENTS TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Escapades Memphrémagog, which operates Le Grand Cru, is committed to an eco-responsible approach to continuously improve its social and environmental performance. We are committed to :

• Implement and annually renew a sustainable development action plan;
• Develop social and environmental performance indicators to monitor actions;
• Promote, internally and externally, our commitments and actions related to our eco-responsible approach.

OUR top PRIORITIES

1. WASTE MANAGEMENT

We are committed to implementing the most effective way to manage residual waste. Their strategy is based on the “3RV Waste Management Hierarchy”—source reduction, reuse, recycling, reclamation and waste valorization. Our specific objectives are to :

• Formalize the management of residual materials (MRM) within each property;
• Create a framework for ongoing improvements to MRM;
• Guarantee a safe, healthy way of disposing of waste;
• Ensure the sound management of household hazardous waste (HHW).

2. RESPONSIBLE Purchasing

Responsible purchasing is the acquisition of goods and services that is environmentally friendly and ethically sourced, and Escapades Memphrémagog is committed to implementing this policy. Our specific objectives are to :

• Structure and guide procurement practices;
• Expand the practise of sourcing goods and service within Quebec and the region;
• Increase the range of eco-friendly products.

3. Energy and Greenhouse Gas Emissions

We are committed to countering climate change by reducing the company’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and improving the energy efficiency of their buildings. Our specific objectives are to :

• Determine the current situation regarding GHG emissions;
• Continue to reduce GHG emissions;
• Save energy and promote energy efficiency.

4. Involvement in THE COMMUNITY

Escapades Memphrémagog wish to participate in the development of their region and community by getting involved in several social and environmental programs. They also aim to encourage their work teams to volunteer for certain causes. Our specific objectives are to :

• Get involved in social and community issues;
• Encourage employees to actively participate in the community;
• Increase the commitment to philanthropic causes;
• Promote the region’s socio-economic players and partners.
